We currently support Google Account and Apple ID sign-in. We do not offer email/password registration — this simplifies authentication and improves account security. You can also use REN GOLF in "Guest Mode" for scoring, but guest data is stored locally and cannot be synced across devices or used with the team system.

No. When you switch from Guest Mode to Google/Apple sign-in, the system detects local guest records and presents a dialog asking whether to "Transfer" those rounds to your new account or "Discard" them. If you choose Transfer, all scoring data from your guest period is fully preserved under your official account.

Nickname is displayed on the Live Board leaderboard and within game sessions — you can set it to anything you like (e.g., "Tiger"). Name is the unique identifier used by the team system. When a scorer binds a scorecard's results to your account, the system matches by Name. Therefore, please use the real name or common alias that your club members recognize.

Go to the Settings page and long-press for 3 seconds on the profile area. This reveals your personal QR code. When scanned by a scorer, the system can directly bind paper scorecard results to your digital account for seamless score receiving.

Under good shooting conditions (flat scorecard, even lighting, no major obstructions), the Gemini engine achieves recognition accuracy of over 99%. After recognition, the system automatically runs logic validation — checking for anomalies like 0 strokes or scores exceeding 15, highlighting them in different colors for your review.

Gemini (Google AI) is the recommended default — it supports both printed and handwritten text recognition, includes AI Course Search, and offers higher accuracy with ~2-3 second inference time. Groq (LPU Inference Accelerator) focuses on speed with sub-1-second inference, but only supports standard printed text and lacks AI Course Search. If your scorecards are standard course-printed formats, both work well. For handwritten scores or non-standard layouts, use Gemini.

Three key principles: ① Flat — Place the scorecard on a flat surface; avoid folds or wrinkles that distort digits. ② Even Lighting — Avoid harsh direct sunlight that causes glare; indoor fluorescent lighting works best. ③ Complete Coverage — Ensure all four corners of the scorecard are within the frame, don't crop any columns. In low-light environments, the system applies automatic brightness compensation, but using your phone's flashlight helps.

After recognition, results populate the scorecard for hole-by-hole confirmation. You can tap any hole's score to manually edit it. If the entire recognition is severely off (e.g., you photographed a restaurant menu instead of a scorecard), clear and re-shoot. Yes. REN GOLF supports full offline scoring. All stroke data is stored locally in the device's Isar database. Once network connectivity is restored, the system automatically initiates Silent Sync in the background, uploading offline data to Firestore cloud. No manual action required.

Tap the "Invite" button within a round. The system generates a QR code or deep link. When your playing partner scans the QR code or taps the link, they join the same scorecard for collaborative scoring — everyone's stroke entries sync in real-time to all group members, eliminating data asymmetry.

Simple Mode only requires total strokes per hole — ideal for quick recording. Detailed Mode additionally records putts, enabling the system to calculate advanced statistics like average putts per round and GIR (Greens in Regulation) rate. You can switch between modes at any time from the scorecard page header.

Try these approaches: ① Verify your search keywords (both English and Chinese fuzzy search are supported). ② If not in the local database, the system automatically searches the cloud community database. ③ Enable Gemini's "AI Course Search" to have AI look up par, handicap, and other configurations from global course knowledge. ④ If none of the above work, manually create a custom course with par values and start playing. After completion, the system automatically uploads the new course to the cloud for other users.

Four core game modes: Match Play with 1v1, Four-Ball, and Foursomes variants; Las Vegas with Digit, Add, and Multiply calculations; Dou Dizhu (a 3-player "landlord vs. peasants" format); and Cut Throat supporting 3 or 4-player Round Robin match play. All modes support Net (handicap) calculation and bonus rewards (Birdie/Eagle/HIO multipliers or fixed points).

Birdie Flip is the most dramatic rule in Las Vegas: when an opponent makes Birdie (or better) and your entire team does not, the system forcibly reverses your team's digit concatenation. For example, if your team scored 4 and 6, the concatenation would be 46; after Flip, it becomes 64 — an instant 18-point swing. This mechanism encourages every group to play aggressively on every hole, because a single conservative play could be punished by an opponent's Birdie flip.

This is REN GOLF's exclusive consecutive tie multiplier mechanism for Las Vegas and Match Play. When a hole is tied, the points don't disappear — they roll over to the next hole with a multiplier: 1st tie → 2×, 2nd consecutive tie → 3×, 3rd → 3×, 4th → 2×, forming a 2→3→3→2 staircase sequence. The winner must sequentially "clear" all accumulated multipliers, meaning a single comeback could carry triple or more points — dramatically increasing late-hole tension.

After signing in, access the team system through the side drawer menu and tap "Create Team." Set a team name and badge image. The system generates a unique invite code and QR code to share with members. Administrators can choose "Auto-Approve" or "Require Review" for join requests.

Administrators (President, General Secretary, Team Manager) have: Member Management — approve/reject join requests, adjust member titles, remove members. Tournament Management — create regular/major tournaments, set hidden hole rules, enable Live Board and Ceremony Mode. Data Management — view annual summary reports, export PDFs, manage membership fee records, manually adjust member handicaps. Awards Management — add custom awards to member honor walls.

Ceremony Mode is designed for club award banquets. When the final group is about to finish, the administrator activates this mode — all members' phones "freeze" and hide the final rankings, maintaining suspense. At the banquet's climax, the administrator presses "Reveal Results," and all members' phones simultaneously display celebration animations and final rankings, creating a ceremonial awards moment.

New Peoria uses structured random hole selection — excluding 2 holes each from Par 3/4/5 categories, ensuring all hole types are represented with lower result volatility. Best for clubs prioritizing technical fairness. New New Peoria uses pure random selection — 12 of 18 holes chosen without categorization, with higher luck factor. Best for entertainment-oriented clubs. Both use the same formula: HDCP = (Hidden Hole Total × 1.5 − Course Par) × 0.8. Administrators can switch with one click when creating tournaments.

Yes. All core scoring features, game modes (Match Play, Las Vegas, Dou Dizhu, Cut Throat), AI OCR recognition, and the team management system are fully available under the Free plan with no feature restrictions. The Free plan includes ad display. To remove ads, enjoy cloud sync, or support our development team, you can upgrade to Lite or Pro plans.

Lite removes all ad interruptions for a clean experience. Pro adds cloud sync on top of Lite — all scoring records automatically sync to Firestore cloud, preserving complete history even when switching devices. Both subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store in-app purchase and can be cancelled at any time.

REN GOLF supports iOS 14.0+ on iPhone and iPad, and Android 7.0+ devices. You can also access the Web version through browsers at ren4golf.com. Chrome, Safari, and Edge browsers are recommended for the Web version.

First, confirm your device has a stable network connection. Go to Settings and try pull-to-refresh to trigger manual sync. If the issue persists, try: ① Clear cache in Settings > Cache Management. ② Fully close and restart the app. ③ Verify your account is still signed in (Google/Apple authorization hasn't expired). All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Cloud data is stored in Google Cloud's Firestore database, protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure.
